Update...

Well....there is not a whole lot to update you on.  We are trying to get the bedrooms painted and ready for carpet install.  (which is a another story).  All the doors and trim for the most part have been primed and ready for their "white dove" color.

We did get lucky and found our first piece of furniture this weekend.  We got a television cabinet, well kinda we have to find a truck to get it home but we purchased it.  EXCITING....

I know some have asked....

The kitchen cabinets were really not that hard to do.  Just time consuming when you do not have full days to devote to them.  Here are the steps we took:

1. Degrease the cabinets  (I used grease lighting)
2. Wipe with clean water rag
3. Dry completely (when working with oil based paint you must let everything dry)
4. Kiltz (odorless) to prime (Spend the 5 bucks to get odorless.....save you in headaches)
5. Coat of Oil paint (we used Olympic satin oil paint)
6. Repeat oil paint again
7. Let the paint cure
8. Can be attached back and hardware on

The color we used was White dove ( I took a paint sample of Benjamin Moore White Dove to Lowe's and they matched it)

The color for the Kitchen and Laundry room was Guilford Green (again Benjamin Moore sample)

Until next time....
